Credo
Valvasor Library Krško is an informational, cultural, educational and social centre. It provides unlimited access to sources of knowledge and information for everyone and plays an active role in the development of modern reading culture and computerized society. The library respects everyone's right to freely choose library materials and services, spreads the reading culture among all generations of readers, provides everyone with access to modern information technologies and cares for the preservation of cultural heritage and tradition. The library enables lifelong learning, responds to the needs of the environment, encourages personal growth and opens up new worlds.

Common good is a key priority of Valvasor Library Krško. Thus, our institution is recognized as a trustworthy partner in co-creating the cultural, educational, social and creative pulse of the local environment. We equally support the realization of the goals, interests and wishes of individuals and groups. While simultaneously following the requirements of the present, we try to recognize the challenges of the future and, last but not least, preserve the memories of the past. We strive to function in a style of friendly association, professional cooperation and mutual respect. Our image represents a reflection of the city. This is why we are proud that the city is aware of values and meaning of a library when achieving full potentials and stands beside us as a supportive patron.
